Food Innovation, Function and Sustainability (FIFS) is an open-access journal. All published articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or access charges to readers.

FIFS supports the broad dissemination and responsible reuse of scholarly research. Readers may access, read, download, copy, share and use published articles in accordance with the Creative Commons licence applied by the journal.

Articles published in FIFS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this licence, users may share and adapt published material for any purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright in their published work and grant FIFS the right of first publication.

Reader Access

FIFS does not require readers to register, subscribe or make payment to access its published scholarly content.

The journal supports open scholarly communication and aims to maximise the accessibility, visibility and dissemination of research in food science, innovation, functionality and sustainability.
